Christina’s Family’s New Home
Furniture study
Christina and her partner are about to move to a new two-bedroom apartment; they have become parents of a baby with whom they’ve been living in a single-room apartment until now.
They’re happy for gaining space for the new member of the family, but at the same time they lose a huge living room, with space needed for occasional work at home. Therefore, the principal objective in the living room is to keep their work-station, formed by two comfortable work spaces. This goal is achieved placing them against the window.
The space of the living room is designed and decorated with a light-independence from the dining area. Since, although both are in the same room, they’re divided by a “corridor” space; we attempt to create in both of them a sensation of lightness, elegance and, at the same time, freshness for this young family. Some of their pieces of furniture are re-used in this new home, while new pieces are proposed for some of the rooms that fit better with the new needs of the family. A new fresh air is seeked with the combination of new accessories and decoration elements from Ikea, Maison du Monde, Ferm Living, Zara Home, Bloomingville, etc.
